Marie Puckett Peevy

Marie Puckett Peevy, age 89 of Buford, GA, died Saturday, February 14, 2015.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Buford. Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Stephen Fountain will officiate. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Josh Reed officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Buford, 4550 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, GA 30518.

Mrs. Peevy was preceded in death by her husband, O.Millard Peevy. She is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law, Sheila and James Reed, Buford; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Donn and Jerrie Lynn Peevy, Lawrenceville, and Mitch and Jeri Peevy, Buford; Grandchildren, Kecia and Ken Wilson, Kevin and Teri Lynn Reed, Josh and Jacelyn Reed, Shannon and Doug Fox, Holly and Jeremy Garrison, Matthew and Erica Peevy, Brittney and J.D. Black; 16 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Jeanette Allen, Sugar Hill and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Marie was a lifelong resident of Buford where she was active in the community. She loved life, adored her family and friends and was a blessing to all who knew her. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Buford and a member of the Daisy Shadburn / Bykota Sunday School Class.
