Rev. Robert Craig Carter

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Rev. Robert Craig Carter, age
47 of Clarkesville. Robert passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 following an extended
illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Sunday, February 15, 2015 in the chapel of
Alexander Funeral Home with Rev.Clarence Reynolds, Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick and Rev. Mike
Spence officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Union
County.
Robert was born in Monroe, Georgia on January 27,1968 to the late William Carter and Sandra
Grindle Carter. He was an ordained Minister in the Congregational Holiness Church and had
lived in Clarkesville since 2005, moving from Monroe. Robert was a man of great faith and
touched many lives. In addition to parents, Robert is preceded in death by his sister Sandy
Carter. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Payne Carter of Clarkesville; daughter, Amanda
Lynn Brooks, (Daniel Brock) ; brother, Floyd Carter, Dewy Rose, GA.; sister Genia Massey of
Monroe and granddaughter, Makala Brooks.The family will receive friends at the funeral home
on Saturday from 5 to 8.
