Claude Ray Watson

Claude Ray Watson, 83, Of Gainesville, GA died on February 11, 2015. Born in Monticello, FL he was the son of the late John and Julia Watson. His beloved wife, Virginia Watson, also predeceased him.

Ray served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a man who loved life and was able to see the good in everyone. He loved the mountains, his riding mower and a good cigar. Ray will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, David Watson of Gainesville, GA; daughters, Koni Hornbeck of Cape May, NJ and Wendy Hatfield of Gainesville, GA; sister, Mary Ryckeley of Albany, GA; brother, James Watson of Tampa, FL; and much loved grandchildren, Joe Hornbeck, Nicole Hornbeck, Ethan Hatfield and Lauren Hatfield.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
