Alyssa Diane Tucker, age 10, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Jesse C. Kennemore; and paternal great grandparents, Fred and Janet Abbott, and Milton and Evelyn Tucker. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lisa and Jonathan Oster, Buford, GA; father, Josh Tucker, Buckhead, GA; brother, Logan Oster, Buford, GA; grandparents, Trina and Timothy Croley, Greenville, AL, Pamela and Alan Tucker, Buckhead, GA, and Ruth and John Oster, Lawrenceville, GA; great grandmother, Patricia Kennemore, Fayetteville, GA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Alyssa was born June 12, 2004 in Riverdale, GA. She was a student at Ivy Creek Elementary School in Buford and was a member of Buford Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Buford Church of Christ, 1135 Chatham Road, Buford, GA 30518 with Scott Harp officiating. The remains will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aflac Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, 1001 Johnson Ferry Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30342-1605, (404) 785-5252 in memory of Alyssa Tucker.
