Billy Joe Clark

Billy Joe Clark, age 72, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.



Mr. Clark was born on September 26, 1942 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late John Howard and Addie Bell Holbrook Clark. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Berta Jane Denton Clark; brothers, Leon and Henry Clark. Mr. Clark was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired correctional officer with Lee Arrendale State Prison with 25 years of service.



Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Joe and Brandi Clark, Clarkesville, GA, Brent Jason and Nicole Clark, Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Lucille Farmer, Flowery Branch, GA; brother, Jerry Clark, Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Dylan Clark, Taylor Clark, Emilee Clark, Blake Loggins, Tristan Clark, Riley Sexton; girlfriend, Marticia Tate.



Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Billy Burrell and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Line Baptist Church Cemetery.



The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2015 and on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 9:30 am until the funeral hour.
