Mrs. Elsie Paula Simmons, age 94 of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2015. Mrs. Simmons was born February 1, 1921, in Plantiz, Germany.
Surviving sons and daughters include: Barbara Paula Suplee, Charlotte Jean Goebel, Harry Mark Simmons III, Dolores Ann Nagel, Louise Ann Cockerill, R. Lee R. Simmons, Alfred Simmons and Elsie Susan Edwards and sister Diane Sprohl. Mrs. Simmons was the proud grandmother of 20 children and 23 great grand children.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Glen Mills (Delaware County), Pennsylvania, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Harry Mark Simmons, II.
For many years Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Olivet Presbyterian Church, located at 1001 Washington Avenue, Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, 19076-1307. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church missions fund to make the name of Jesus Christ known throughout the world.
