Mattie Ruth Campbell Carder

Mattie Ruth Campbell Carder, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 following a period of declining health.

Born on January 1, 1926, in Homer, GA, she had lived in Hall County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Azzie Whisnant Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of The River Community Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carder is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn L. Carder; brothers, Aaron Campbell, Gene Campbell, Harley Campbell, Coley Campbell, Jessie Campbell and Luther Campbell.

Mrs. Carder is survived by her daughter and son in law, Barbara Carder Ray (Larry); son and daughter in law, Jerry Carder (Janice); son, Henry Carder ; grandchildren, Jason Ray (Jennifer), Anitra Holland (Keith), Tonya Carder all of Gainesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Haley Ray, Kolby Ray, Summer Holland, Loagan Ray, Madison Ray, Savanna Holland and Trey Ray; sister, Lucille Rigsbee of Lula; brothers and sisters in law, Homer and Bernice Campbell of Baldwin, Roger and Joan Campbell of Commerce and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Abercrombie will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Murrayville Assembly of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
