Robert Frank Chitwood, age 93, of Jefferson passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. Mr. Chitwood was born in Anderson, South Carolina. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and fought in World War II. He retired from Scientific Atlanta after many years of employment. He was survived by his son Ken Chitwood of Buford; grandson Brian Chitwood of Buford; grandchildren James Culpepper and wife Susan, Angie Iler, Lesley Huckeba; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Jennie Chitwood, daughter Linda Savage. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Gaddis will be officiating. James Culpepper, Tim South, Jacob Huckeba, John Huckeba, David Wiley and Tony Burnsed will be pallbearers. Interment to follow at Hog Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, 1971 Hog Mountain Church Road, Dacula, GA 30019. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the funeral home.
