Jimmie Ralston ' Jimbo' Hamby

Jimmie Ralston " Jimbo" Hamby, age 84 of Cumming, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. She was born in Lumpkin County, GA, one of 11 children born to John W. and Ella Ralston. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy ("Unc") Hamby; parents, John W. and Ella Ralston; sisters, Ollie Ralston, Clara Baker, Laura Ralston, Katie Shelton; brothers W.I. Ralston, J.D. Ralston and John Ralston, Jr.



Survivors include her sisters, Geneva Smith, Martha Taylor; brother, Charles Ralston and many nephews and nieces.

Jimmie lived most of her life in Atlanta and Cumming, GA. She was a Bell South retiree and a Bell South Pioneer. She was an avid member of the Eastern Star Cumming Chapter #346 and a member of Millcreek Baptist Church. Jimbo enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and entertaining. She lived her life with charm and dignity. Her colorful spirit will be missed by many.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at noon in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
