Dorothy 'Dot' Garner

Dorothy "Dot" Garner, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday February 3, 2015 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born July 3, 1926 to the late Richard and Ruth Edmondson, Ms. Garner had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past 20 years coming from Atlanta. A loving mother who also had a great love for her pets, she retired from Shallowford Hospital where she worked for many years as a housekeeper. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Craig Callaway.

Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Danny and Martha Lynne Callaway, Dawsonville; one sister; two brothers; a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Friday February 6, 2015 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Owens will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 o'clock until the service hour on Friday.
