Edward Robertson Carter, Jr.

Edward Robertson Carter, Jr., 82, of Cumming, GA passed away on February 1, 2015. Born in Danville, VA on May 27, 1932, he is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Holmes Stone; and his father, Edward Robertson Carter, Sr.

He is a graduate of George Washington High School and North Carolina State University. As a member of Christ Church of Atlanta, he served as Treasurer and Treasurer Emeritus.

Edward, also known as Bob to family and friends, will be remembered as a sweet and gentle man, a dedicated husband and father and always willing to lend a hand to others.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Wilkerson Carter; daughters, Elizabeth Carter Begley, Marguerite Carter Moses, Laura Carter Lackey, Anna Carter Etheriedge; grandchildren, John Carl and Joseph Begley; Andrew and Christopher Moses; Laure Lee, Ella and Carter Lackey; Sarah, Ben, Timothy, Rebekah, and Bethany Etheriedge.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 21, 2015, in the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00
