Billy Wayne Dooley

Billy Wayne Dooley, age 69 of Winder, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Steven Smallwood and Reverend Richard Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Dooley was born August 20, 1945 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Tom Dooley and Hassie Hamilton Dooley. He was retired from Candler Concrete as a truck driver and was a member of Hope Baptist Church. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Virginia Webb and Mary Walker.

Mr. Dooley is survived by his wife, Bonnie Dooley of Winder, his sons & daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Karen Dooley of Gainesville and David & Ruby Dooley of Clarkesville, his daughters & sons-in-law, Kim & Denver Harris of Flowery Branch and Karen & Darren Cleveland of Flowery Branch, his son, Clay Fowler of Flowery Branch, his sons & daughters-in-law, Doug & Carrie Conley of Pendergrass, Travis & Stacie Conley of Hoschton and Stuart & Heather Conley of Jefferson, 19 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brother, Tommy Dooley of Gainesville and sister & brother-in-law, Frances & Bill Webb of Jefferson.
