Lillie Rooks

Lillie Rooks, 88, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 6-8 pm and on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rooks was born on September 21, 1926 in Hall County to the late Roy and Lizzie Mc Ghee Anderson. She was retired from Rooks Used Cars and at the age of 65 received her G.E.D. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harold Rooks.

Mrs. Rooks is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Ronny Kinsey of Gainesville, Gilda and Lamar Allison of Gainesville, Libby and Ricky Wingo of Braselton; grandchildren, Sandy Nichols, R.B. Kinsey, Robby Banks, Paige Shope, Cody Allison, Casey Allison, Drew Wingo, Neil Wingo, Jennifer Wingo, and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
