Bertie Mae Ivester Gordon

Mrs. Bertie Mae Ivester Gordon, age 72, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at University Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Gordon was born in Danielsville to the late Lemmie and Eppsie Mae Cheek Ivester. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was retired from Kendall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Morris Gordon.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her daughters, Wanda Patrick of Commerce and Carey Lynn Hicks of Nicholson; sisters, Mary Whitlock of Commerce, Edith Morrison of Crawford and Betty McLendon of Commerce; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, February 5 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
