Henrietta Sommer

Henrietta Sommer, age 93, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Charles E. Sommer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Merridee and Kenneth Michelsen; five grandsons, Kenneth Michelsen (and former wife Elizabeth), Woodbridge, VA, Keith and Wendi Michelsen, Loganville, GA, Kyle Michelsen, Atlanta, GA, Kurt and Megan Michelsen, Atlanta, GA, and Kacey and Aris Michelsen, Atlanta, GA; and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Sommer was born April 4, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY and was a life-long resident. She was a 1938 graduate of Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn. She was a retired accountant with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn. A Vigil Service will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stateroom of Flanigan Funeral Home with Father Eric Hill officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 following the Vigil Service from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
