James Thomas (Sonny) Helton

James Thomas "Sonny" Helton, age 76 of Clermont passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015.

Sonny was born in Wheeling, WV to the late James "Jimmy" Thomas and Betty Marie Robarge Helton on May 28, 1938. He worked for many different companies in his 60 + years as a master electrician. Sonny was of the Baptist faith and will always be remembered for being a godly man, as well as a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers Gary and Billy Helton and sister Nancy Mize. Sonny is survived by his wife Thelma Jones Helton, son and daughter in law Troy and Barbara Helton, daughter and son in law Dr. Traci Helton Alexander and Stephen Alexander, sister Judy Armour, brothers in law Thay Jones and Herman Mize, sisters in law Mac Kelm, Ruth Martin, Clara Nell Fuller, 2 grandsons Chase and Chance Helton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2-4 and 5-8. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 PM on Sunday, February 1, 2015 with the Rev. Brad Reynolds. Interment will be held at Dewberry Baptist Church #1.
