William (Billy) Hester

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. William Billy Hester, age 86 of Dahlonega. Mr. Hester passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Enloe officiating. Interment will follow in Community Chapel Church Cemetery

Billy was born in Lumpkin County on May 16, 1928 to the late James 'Coot" Hester and Sarah Ravan Hester. In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joe Jones Hester as well as sisters, Amanda Gerrells, Maude Hester and Mattie Eaton and brothers, Willis Hester and Gomer Hester.Billy served with honor in the United States Army.

Survivors include his daughter, Ann Truelove of Dahlonega and sister Zora Robinson also of Dahlonega, grandchildren, Blake, Sara and Riley as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to Community Chapel Church, 875 Frogtown Rd., Dahlonega, GA 30533

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 9pm.
