Jack Clements Causey

Jack Clements Causey, age 87 went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

Funeral services are schedule for Thursday, January 29 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, on Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, GA. Reverend Gary Huff will officiate. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Jack was born in Columbus, GA on February 11, 1927. He was the second of 3 boys born to Moss Causey and Norma May Clark. His family moved to Atlanta, GA when Jack was a teen. After finishing high school he enlisted in the Navy serving in the Pacific Theater of WWII until after the war's end. He returned to Atlanta and enrolled at Georgia Tech receiving an Electrical Engineering Degree. He began work with Georgia Power in 1949 serving in a variety of positions over the next 40 years finally retiring in 1989 as Senior Vice President of Administrative Services. Jack's life was one of devotion to his family, country and work. Jack's devotion extended not only to his country and work, but also in his faith and family. As a young man he maintained continuous membership with extensive service in the Church of the Nazarene until his death. His life was a model to all and is reflected in his family as 2 of his children and a grandchild are in the medical profession. His passion for service did not stop there as he spent times working with various groups, such as, the Boys Scouts, the YMCA and the Atlanta Boys Club. Jack Clements Causey has served as an inspiration to us all. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Jack is survived by his brother, Jerry and his wife Barbara Foster Causey and 3 children, Gail, David and Janet Causey Roling. There are eight grandchildren and 6 precious great-grandchildren.

The family has requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the building fund of Gainesville Nazarene Church. Checks can be made to Gainesville Nazarene Church, 1301 Otlia Drive, Gainesville, GA 30504, Attn: Bruce McCumber Building Fund.
