Blanche Davis Duncan

Blanche Davis Duncan, age 94, of Buford, GA and the Sardis Community passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Charles Virgil Duncan; son, Charles Duncan; great grandson, Dustin Lord; parents, Albert and Carrie Cook Davis; siblings, A.C. Davis, Irene Kimbro, Nell Burel, Grace Parks, Cammie Duncan, Lois Reed and Jeanette Davis. She is survived by her children, Burl and Naomi Duncan, Monroe, GA, Randall and Susie Duncan, Buford, GA, Sharon and James Dutton, Gillsville, GA and Brent and Wendy Duncan, Buford, GA; daughter-in-law, Annette Duncan, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Chris and Naomi Duncan, Wanda and Sammy Brown, Dawn and Mike Kinlaw, Randy and Ashley Duncan, Keith and Jennifer Dutton, Kevin Dutton, Kari and Justin Payne, Emma Duncan and Cale Duncan; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Jo Duncan, Palm Harbor, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Duncan was born March 19, 1920 in Buford, GA. She was a retired seamstress from Fawn Togs of Braselton, GA and was a homemaker. She was a long-time member of Sardis United Methodist Church in Buford, GA where she was involved in various activities of the church for many years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Hagood officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery, Thompson Mill Road, Buford, GA 30519.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
