Michael L. Pugh, age 65, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, George Olton Pugh. He is survived by his children, Jeff Pugh, Buford, GA and Amy Elizabeth and James Johnson, Winder, GA; step children, Emily and Ryan Roy and Caine and Cathy Jackson; grandchildren, Ansley Johnson and Aidan Johnson; step grandchildren, Zeb Cain, Xavier Roy and Brooklyn and Harper Jackson; mother and step father, Kathleen Pugh Burel and husband, Winston Burel, Sugar Hill, GA; sister, Dawn Pugh Gober, Sugar Hill, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, George Pugh, Buford, GA and Barry and Cindy Pugh, Suwanee, GA; step brother, Ronnie and Bonita Burel, Buford, GA; and step sister, Judy and Danny Austin, Winder, GA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Pugh was born November 23, 1949 in Buford, GA. He was a 1967 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA where he played basketball, baseball, football and ran track. He was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA after thirty years of service and was a member of the U.A.W Local 10. He also worked at Sears for eight years. He was an active member of the original Sugar Hill Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Mason and member of the Buford Masonic Lodge No. 292 F. & A.M. where he was a former Senior Deacon. He was a sports enthusiast and was an avid bowler, golfer and Georgia Bulldog Football Fan. He was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church in Sugar Hill, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with Masonic graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Buford Masonic Lodge Widow's Fund or the Masonic Home for Children in Macon in memory of Michael Pugh.
