Marvin Jay Walden, Jr.

Marvin "Jay" Walden Jr., age 62 of Clarkesville, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Walden was born September 24, 1952 in Clarkesville to the late Marvin Sr. and Flora Thomas Walden. Jay was a self-employed painter and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Catherine Cleiman, Barbara Gay and Northeast Georgia Medical Center for the kindness shown to the family.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Farrell, Clarkesville; children, Alicia and Kris Hanson, Orlando, FL; Christopher Walden; Robbie Walsh, both of Clarkesville; Kevin and Tonya Kochis, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Pam Walden, Cleveland; Nelson and Cathy Walden, Ormond Beach, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Warren Weaver, Clermont; sisters, Audrey Parker, Donna Walden, both of Cleveland; grandson, Erick Shane Kelly; best friend, Rick Scott; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, January 22, 2015 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
