Deegan Allen Baucom

Deegan Allen Baucom, age 7, went to be with the Lord our Father on 14 January, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.

Deegan's interest included handing out with family, attending The Church at War Hill, mudding in trucks, riding four-wheelers, wood splitting with Pawpaw and enjoying everything outdoors. Deegan especially loved to play cops and robbers that always ended with someone going to jail.

Deegan will be remember for his style (tucked in shirt buttoned all the way to the top with cowboy boots), affection, smile, but most of all Deegan will be remember as a gentle soul who found joy in helping others. He was protective of younger cousins always willing to walk slowly and pick them up when they fell, quick to help the girls at Blackburn Elementary School, and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Deegan is survived by his mother Crystal Lea Brooks; father Keith Allen Brooks, sisters Shalea Marie Baucom age 8, Haley Baucom age 14, grandparents Sandra and Donald Brooks; Jim and Cheryl Baucom; great-grandmother Rose E. Hall; uncle Eddie Baucom and cousin Drew Baucom. Other relatives and friends also survive.
