Freddie Nell Jackson

Ms. Freddie Nell Jackson, age 85 of Gillsville, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at her residence following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Bill Surrett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2015 and Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Ms. Jackson was born January 22, 1929 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Jack Slaton and Myrtie Bennett Slaton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Freddie was preceded in death by her parents, 14 of her brothers and sisters and her son, David Anthony Jackson.

Ms. Jackson is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Bobbie Jackson of Gillsville, granddaughters & their husbands, Amy & Lewis Grace of Winder and Amber & Sean McNaughton of Suwanee, grandson & his wife, Bradley & Wendy Jackson of Gainesville, 6 great-grandchildren and brother & sister-in-law, George & Coleen Slaton of Dawsonville.
