Robert Lee 'Bob' Stephenson

Robert Lee "Bob" Stephenson, 51, of Baker Road, Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3:30pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Clark Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4-9 pm at the funeral home.

Bob was born on May, 20, 1963 in Alma, Michigan to the late Gary and Elouise Williams Stephenson. Bob graduated from Alma High School in 1981. He worked at Chandler Equipment and was of the Methodist faith. He loved his Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Winifred Smith and Robert and Bernice Stephenson; brother-in-law, Tom Mikek.

Bob is survived by his wife, Terry Stephenson of Gainesville; step-mother, Karen Stephenson of Michigan; son, James Souders of Gainesville; daughter, Marie Bryant of Gainesville; son, Michael Bryant of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Gary Goetzinger of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Brenda and Randy Jarrard of Gainesville, Georgia, Lori and Brady Nelson of Bear River City, Utah; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Annie Stephenson of Brooklyn, Michigan; grandson, Bryson Yopp; granddaughter, Taylor Bryant; and a host of nieces and nephews.
