Daniel Drake Allen

Daniel Drake Allen beloved son of Carol and Phillip Allen of East Cobb County, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 10, 2014. In addition to his loving parents Daniel is survived by his brother Tyler Ray Allen of Atlanta. Also surviving Daniel are his aunts and uncles, Mr & Mrs George Johnson of San Antonio, TX, Mr & Mrs Henry Johnson of Marietta, GA, Mr & Mrs John Johnson of Bradenton, FL , Mr & Mrs Rudy Allen of Gainesville, GA as well as cousins Amy Allen Barton, Connor Johnson, Kasey McDearis, Brad and Matt Johnson, Melissa Owen Hines, Will Owen and Dustin Rowland. Others surviving Daniel are great aunts Ann Byrd Brown and Lois Johnson Arnold and friends dear as family Lindsey McAndrew, Lisa Torchia and Bailey. Daniel is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Rebecca "Becky" Johnson of Gainesville and Marietta Georgia and his paternal grandmother Helen Byrd Waters of Gainesville.

Daniel Drake Allen was born August 31, 1987 in Gainesville, Georgia to Carol Johnson Allen and Phillip Allen. Daniel attended public schools in DeKalb and Cobb counties, graduating from Walton High School in 2005. Daniel graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Economics and Finance in 2009. Daniel was quick to smile, extend his hand and made friends easily and quickly in school, on the soccer fields, at work and everywhere he went. His interests included music, sports, weight training, automobiles and spending time with his numerous friends.







The family will receive visitors at The Pavillion of East Cobb, 736 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30068 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday January 16, 2015 and at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30501 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday January 17, 2015 with a private memorial service for the family to follow.
