Jerry L. Glover, age 82 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Bell Minor Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Atlanta Road Church of Christ with Minister Jeff Smith officiating. Mr. Glover will lie in state at the church from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Glover was born January 10, 1933 in Benton, Illinois to John Glover, II and Opal Marie Frailey Glover. He was retired from Makita as the plant engineer and was owner and operator of PepCo for 14 years. He was a founding member of Atlanta Road Church of Christ for more than 50 years. Mr. Glover was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Claudia Monroney Glover; his son, Dale Glover; brothers, John Glover, III and Dick Glover.
Mr. Glover is survived by his daughter, Susan Bacus of Gainesville; son & daughter-in-law, Jerry M. & Mary Glover of Baton Rouge, LA; son & daughter-in-law, Tim & Sherry Glover of Gainesville; grandchildren, Erin Glover, Tyler Bacus, Justin Bacus, Kyle Bacus, Melia Glover, Cooper Glover; sister, Shirley Mace of Rolla, Missouri, sister & brother-in-law, Cindy & Ronnie Wallace of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Sarilee Glover of North Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers & sisters-in-law, Ken & Phyllis Glover of Bremen, GA and David & Linda Glover of Peoria, IL.
