Loy Etris Patterson, 93, of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Tony Scarborough and Reverend Hal Tapp will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 2-8 pm and Tuesday, January 13, 2015 prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Patterson was born on January 1, 1922 in Dawsonville to the late Albert Luther Etris Sr., and Stella Mae Clark Etris. She worked at Penny's Bargains Outlet and was of Holiness faith. She was also a former member of the Lion's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Gordon (Pat) Patterson; daughter, Lena Marie Patterson; brothers, A.L. Etris Jr., Coy Etris; son-in-law, Clyde Armour.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Larry Shuler of Lula; daughters, Sandy Patterson Jackson & John Rowden of Lula, Geneva Armour of Lula, Connie Mote of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Dianna Patterson of Lula; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
