Juan Chavez

Juan Chavez, age 56 of Gainesville, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 12:00pm at St. Michael Catholic Church with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 11:00am-7:00pm and Monday, January 12, 2015 from 11:00am-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Chavez was born May 9, 1956 in Durango, Mexico to the late Jose and Magdalena Rios Chavez. He worked at ZUA Auto Parts and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife, Dora Chavez of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Jaime and Melody Cardenas of Gainesville; son, Bobby Cardenas of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Monica Chavez of Tucson, Arizona; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Sarah Chavez of Indiana; grandchildren, Jonathan Cardenas, Breza Marie, Blaze and Easter Cardenas; sister, Maria Vasquez of Gainesville; brother, Efren Chavez of Gainesville; sisters, Patricia Chavez, Catarina Andrande, Catalina Chavez, Valentina Ayala and Lucy Alonso all of Gainesville.
