Margaret Moore Joseph, age 96, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Charles N. Joseph; and son, Charles Norman Joseph, Jr. She is survived by her children, Suzanne and Norman Osborn, Sonora, CA, Peggy Acord, Summerville, SC, and Nancy and Steven Lownds, Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Bryce and Amy Osborn, Evan and Michelle Osborn, Christopher Acord, Brian and Ashley Acord, Brandon Lownds, and Austin Lownds; three great grandchildren, Nicholas Acord, Olivia Osborn, and Konrad Osborn; and sister, Marjorie Peterson, Mount Pleasant, SC. Mrs. Joseph was born March 21, 1918 in Carthage, SD. She was a 1936 graduate of Evanston Township High School and attended Northwestern University, both in Evanston, IL. She was a retired realtor from Harry Norman Realty. She was a former resident of Atlanta, GA, Marietta, GA and Peachtree City, GA, having lived as a resident of Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville, GA for the past nine years. She was an avid Braves fan, golfer and bridge player. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Lanier Village Estates with Chaplain Richard A. Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice Unit in memory of Margaret M. Joseph.
