Joe F. Walters

Joe F. Walters, Retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, 92, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Thursday January 8, 2015 following a long illness.

Joe retired from the Air Force with 22 years of service. After retirement, he was employed as the Vice President of GA Loan & Trust Company.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Claudia Fennell Walters and Joseph Shirley, his son Frank Walters, his sisters Edith Tumblin and Eva Mae Dinkla.

He is survived by his wife Irene, daughters; Irene (Willa) Bryant, Kathleen (Steve) Baugh, and son, Kenneth Walters; niece Claudia Hardee, nephews Walter Dinkla and Edward Varns.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Zachary Hoffman will officiate.
