Mrs. Nancy C. "Nan" Robbins, age 71, of Jefferson, Georgia passed away January 5, 2015. A native of MS, Mrs. Robbins was the daughter of the late James Pauldon and Mattie Miriam Blanks Clark. She is preceded by a brother Mike Clark and a sister Linda Speights. In 2005, Mrs. Robbins retired from the North American Mission Board with 22 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winder where she was a member of the Bereavement Team, the Prayer Ministry Team, the Women's Missionary Union, and the choir. She was also active in The Gideons International Auxiliary where she served as the Vice-President of the Winder Gideons Camp Auxiliary. She was a member of the Jubal Joy wives organization of the Georgia Baptist Convention's Sons of Jubal men's chorus, was a Poll Worker for the Jackson County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, and was a volunteer worker at the Barrow County Cooperative Benevolence Thrift Shop in Winder.
Surviving are her Husband of 51 years, Bryan Robbins of Jefferson, GA, Son and Daughter-in-law, Keith and Tracey Robbins of Winter Haven, FL, Daughter, Kimberly Robbins of Lawrenceville, GA, Sisters and Brother-in-law, Betty Jean Pope of Hawkinsville, GA, Brenda and Billy Berry, two Grandsons Jacob and Matthew Robbins, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Due to scheduling at the National Cemetery, the internment will be at 10:00 AM Thursday January 8, 2015, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the First Baptist Church Winder. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Winder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International Bible Fund, Gideon Camp U10900 P.O. Box 449 Winder, GA 30680 in memory of Mrs. Nancy Robbins. Carter Funeral Home of Winder is in charge of arrangements.
