Barry Stephen Taylor Sr.

Barry Stephen Taylor, Sr., age 79, of Cornelia, passed away on January 5, 2015.
Born on July 8, 1935, in Habersham County, Georgia, he was the son of the late William "Bill" and Lessie Stephens Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a former banker with First National Bank and was also owner and operator of Taylor Auto Sales. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed antique cars and peddling other various antiques.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helen Chapman Taylor of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry, Jr. and Donna Taylor of Mt. Airy and Joey and Wendy Taylor of Cornelia; grandchildren, Ryan Taylor, Drew Taylor, Chandler Taylor, Carson Taylor and Grayson Taylor.
Funeral services are 1 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
