Mrs. Violet Montine Cagle Smith, 84 of Murrayville died Monday January 5, 2015 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Loyd and Bertha Roper Cagle. She was a self employed Poultry Grower having grown chickens for Mar-Jac and Bruce and Wilson for a number of years. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her Sons and Daughters-in-law; Philip and Susan Smith, Blountville, TN; Johnny and Debbie Smith, Murrayville; Tommy Smith, Gainesville; Randall and Debra Smith, Gainesville; daughter, Susan Smith, Murrayville; grandchildren, Sybil, John, Mathew, Jonathon, Jordan and Cortney, Gabrielle and Danielle. Two Great Grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest Wayne Smith and grandson, Cody Winkler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 8, 2015 at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Rev. Charlie Green and Rev. Powell Sailors will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 6 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday January 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
