Helen Monteen Brown

Miss Helen Monteen Brown, age 92 of Hospital Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Sam Walker Brown and Pearl Burt Brown, she was born June 15, 1922 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was employed with Harper's 5 & 10 Store in Toccoa and later retired from Belk Department Store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Ladies Bible SS Class and a former UMW member. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Bond and Thelma Land.

Survivors include two nephews, Calvin Bond and wife Marie of Griffin, Georgia and Roger Land of Augusta, Georgia; niece, Robbie Jean Thomas and husband Bruce of Toccoa, Georgia.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 6, 1 O'clock PM at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Dr. John Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home from noon until service time.

Interment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Miss Helen Monteen Brown.
