Johnny Lee Brown

Johnny Lee Brown, age 68, of Dahlonega, GA died Saturday, January 3, 2015 following a brief illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and retired from Cargill in Gainesville, GA. He was a friend to everyone, always there to help others, and of the Baptist faith.

Johnny was the son of the late Robert and Leila Brown, and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Vera Mae Brown, Brenda Joyce Arnold, Robbie Jean Brown, and Edith Ann Brown; brothers, Cecil Larry Brown, James Hoyt Brown, and one infant brother.

He is survived by sister, Bessie Lou Stancil, Dahlonega, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Sue and Larry Reed, Dawsonville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard J. and Joyce Brown, and George M. and Tammie Brown, all of Dahlonega. Numerous nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Johnny are scheduled for 4 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Johnny will be cremated following the service and interment of the ashes will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4:30 PM until 9 PM Monday, January 5, 2015, and 9 AM until service time on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
