Kathleen Mary Lee

Kathleen Mary Lee, 66, of Gainesville Georgia passed away Thursday January 01, 2015. Kathleen battled pulmonary fibrosis for several years. She was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania April 12, 1948.

Kathleen earned her Registered Nurse degree in 1969. She continued her passion for education receiving a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy from Walden University, Indiana in 1992.

Kathleen held the position of Associate Administrator at Ocean Springs Hospital, Ocean Springs Mississippi from 1998 through her retirement in 2009. From 1982-1985 Kathleen worked internationally at King Fahad Hospital, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. From 1978-1981, Kathleen served as a registered nurse in the Air Force and held the rank of Captain.

Kathleen dedicated over 40 years of her life caring for others and helping provide guidance to fellow healthcare workers advancing their careers.

Kathleen did not let her disease slow her down. She traveled the world using a portable oxygen concentrator and was often an inspiration for others with pulmonary diseases. She combined her healthcare passion by traveling to several countries with People to People Healthcare Ambassadors.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 34 years Glenn Lee; Sister Anne Reynolds of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and son Jeff MacClay of Los Angeles, California.

Funeral services January 31, 2015 at 10 am Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich, Rhode Island. A spring time Memorial is being planned for April in Ocean Springs Mississippi. Kathleen will rest in peace in Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery.
