Roberta (Robbie) L. Franzmathes

Roberta (Robbie) L. Franzmathes has gone to her heavenly reward on Sunday, December 28, 2014.

She was the daughter of Frank L. Millert and Josephine (Kancel) Millert born in Kansas City in July of 1939. She was a vibrant, outgoing, and loving Mother, Wife, Friend, and Grandmother.

Robbie married Joseph (Joe) R. Franzmathes on February 27, 1965. Joe and Robbie were married for 49 years and 10 months. Robbie attended St Rose of Lima, Bishop Ward High School, and St Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas. She then trained and worked as Radiographer at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Robbie and her husband Joe moved to Tucker, GA, in 1967 where they raised their family. There she was a very active parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church, becoming Director of St Martin de Porres, a food bank supporting the less fortunate in North Atlanta. After moving to Martin, GA, she attended St Mary's Catholic Church in Toccoa where she served as head of the Visitation Committee. Robbie was dedicated to the service of others and was elected "Woman of the Year" at both parishes.

She is survived by her husband Joe, two sons Richard (wife Donna) and Robert (wife Jaime), four grandchildren (her joy): Nathaniel, Abigail, Benjamin, and Lucas, her brother Greg (wife Linda) Millert, nieces Aubrey (husband Adam) and Lindsay, and her dearest friend Millie Broussard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3rd at 11:00am at St Mary's Catholic Church located at 231 Rothel Road, Toccoa, GA 30577 with Father Vincent Sullivan officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memoriam to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, January 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm located at 90 S. Pond Street, Toccoa, Georgia.
