Catherine Thomas

Catherine Crumley Thomas, 88, of Statham, GA passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Athens Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Faith Baptist Cemetery. Reverend Richard Cole, Reverend Lamar Purcell, and Reverend Mark Stroud will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas was born on August 5, 1926 in Gainesville to the late Marvin J. and Lucille Clemmons Crumley. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reverend Edgar Thomas; grandson, Kenneth Michael Thomas; granddaughter, Jill Conner Jarrard; son-in-law, Phillip E. Conner.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter, Patricia Conner of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jan Thomas of Statham, GA; grandchildren, Paige Batson, Shannon Hammond, Tameka Norris; sisters, Helon Johnson of Buford, Marie Tumlin of Gainesville, Margaret Elrod of Gainesville.
