Jason Dale Kimberly

Jason Dale Kimberly, 36, of Commerce went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 18, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 53 in Dawsonville.

He was born on December 2, 1978 in Gainesville, the son of Olin and Theda (Mathis) Kimberly and brother to Julie Kimberly. He was married on October 3, 2009 in Hiawassee to Melissa (Ledbetter) Kimberly. He attended Hall County Schools and graduated from West Hall High School in 1997. He obtained his CDL at Daly's Driving School in Buford and he was employed with Cardinal Logistics. He grew up in Oakwood and moved to Commerce in August 2014. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and many other outdoor activities. He was a devoted father and loved his sons more than anything in this world. He made several close friends over the years who all said he was like a son or a brother to them. He was an honest man and loved instantly by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa (Ledbetter) Kimberly of Commerce, sons, Connor and Cason Kimberly, Commerce, parents, Olin and Theda (Mathis) Kimberly, Oakwood, grandmother, Agnes Mathis, Oakwood, Sister, Julie Kimberly, Oakwood, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, mother-in-law, Pamela Beck, his pets Mavrik and Chloe.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 27, 2014 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel. Speakers include Rev. Dave Cline, Wesley Martin and Nick Rucker. Pallbearers will include Darren Lea, Tyler Lea, Michael Cline, Mike Hewell, Daniel Schmidt and Matthew Delong. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Flowery Branch. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ward's Funeral Home.
