Wayne Aubrey Bailey, 68, Clarkesville

Memorial services for Wayne A. Bailey, age 68, of Clarkesville will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Butler and Rev. Edward Bolen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Mr. Bailey passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 following a period of declining health.

Born in Fitzgerald, GA on October 1, 1946, Mr. Bailey was the son of the late Hoyal A. and Lillie Mae Satterfield Bailey. He was a University of Georgia graduate and was a retired attorney and school teacher. Mr. Bailey was a member of Delta Phi fraternity and Clarkesville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Bailey of Clarkesville, son David Joshua Bailey and wife Kathryn of Athens, daughter Dana Bailey Patterson and husband Dusty of Buford, and grandchildren Benjamin and Sarah Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clarkesville Soup Kitchen, the John B. Gesbocker Animal Shelter, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
