Sara L. Jones, age 92, of Buford, GA, formerly of Climax, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jones, and son-in-law, Frank N. Cooper. She is survived by her children, Johnny and Elayne Jones, Albertville, AL, Carroll and Judy Jones, Brinson, GA, Don and Renee Jones, Tifton, GA, Linda Jones Cooper, Buford, GA, Joy Jones, Cumming, GA, and Fran and Tim Hollingshed, Acworth, GA; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Lunsford, Columbus, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Jones was born September 7, 1922 in Elamville, AL. She was a graduate of Barbour County High School and attended Troy, AL School of Nursing. She was a retired supervisor from a nursing home and former member of Climax Baptist Church, Climax, GA. She was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church, Buford, GA and a member of the Good News Sunday School class at Ivy Creek. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was dedicated to her church. She loved her grandchildren and their sports. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Dale and Rev. Ted Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, 763 Antioch Church Road, Climax, GA 39834. The Jones family will meet at Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge, GA on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. before going to the cemetery for the graveside service at 2:00 p.m.
