Dave William Belflower

Mr. Dave William Belflower, age 90, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Tuesday December 16, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was born in Dustin, Oklahoma January 1, 1924. He moved from California to Dahlonega in 2000. Dave was a member of the Church of Christ. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was the son of the late John Belflower and Rebecca Harris Belflower and was also preceded in death by his wife, Joaline Reynolds Belflower.

Dave is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Curly Dowdy, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Susan Belflower, Grove, OK, Dave and Lisa Belflower, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Juanita Johnson, Pasco, WA, and Mary Dillon, Exeter, CA; grandchildren, Stacy and Brandon Houston, Sandra Yauch, Joshua and Cherri Goodman, Jacob Goodman, James Dowdy, Tammy and Carl Cox, John and Jessica Dowdy, Gideon and Megan Belflower, and Amanda Belflower; great-grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, and Kyle Houston, Dustin and Austin Kerr, Katy Yauch, Misty Goodman, Tommy and Cindy Goodman, Chase Abernathy, Kyle Dowdy, Rebecca, John and Christopher Dowdy, James and Courtney Dowdy; great-grandchild, Bella Dowdy. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Dave are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. John Dowdy will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors provided by the Veterans Alliance Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM, all day on Sunday starting at 1 PM, and again on Monday from 10 AM until 2 PM.
