Vera Lee Brown Ashworth, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ashworth; parents, Lester and Ovelene Collins Brown; stepmother, Kathleen Brown; brothers, Norman Leon Brown, John Brown, Donald Brown, Danny Brown; and brother-in-law, Allen Sudderth.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie and Tammy Maddox, Buford, GA and Larry Maddox, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Dustin Maddox, Shane Maddox, Jenna Maddox Robinson and Jessica Maddox; five great grandchildren; sister, Mae Brown Sudderth, Buford, GA; stepbrother, David Brown, Flowery Branch, GA; stepsister, Dot Brown; two nieces, Anne Sudderth Bushell and husband, Ron, Flowery Branch, GA and Connie Sudderth, Buford, GA; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Liddell, Buford, GA and Madge Gailey, Buford, GA.

Mrs. Ashworth was born September 23, 1930 in Suwanee, GA. She was retired from McTavish Furniture and Dick Lynott Company both in Duluth, GA. She was a member of Old Suwanee Baptist Church in Buford, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Ashworth and Mr. Wendell Maddox officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 2:45 p.m.
