Anastasia (Annie) Hanlin

Anastasia "Annie" Hanlin, age 86, Braselton, GA formerly of Altoona, PA went home to be with God, family and friends on December 12, 2014

She was born October 17, 1928 the daughter of the late John Arseniu and Viola D. (Charras) Arseniu and lived her entire life in Altoona. She attended Garfield Elementary School, Altoona High School and on June 26, 1948, she married James "JJ" Hanlin. Annie's life was built around her family. She loved to cook, watch her stories and go shopping with her best friend, Eleanor Fisher. Annie is survived by her son, John, Hermitage, PA; her son, Terry and daughter-in-law, Jeanne of Braselton, GA; a sister, Gloria Cohen of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Judy and husband, Jerry Parson, Altoona; a brother, Nicholas Arseniu, Altoona; and two grandsons, Alexander and Shawn Hanlin, Altoona and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her youngest son, Kevin; sister, Libby Gregory and brothers, Jim and Charlie Arseniu.

A viewing will be held at Jones Funeral Home in Altoona, PA on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Mass at 10:30 am Friday, December 19, 2014 . Monsignor Mazur will officiate.
