Andrew Clinton Bennett Jr.

Andrew Clinton Bennett Jr., 90, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Athens Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Darryl Womack will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Bennett was born on March 18, 1924 in Centerville, GA to the late Andrew Clinton Bennett Sr., and Ruby Moore Bennett. He was retired from General Motors where he worked as a lift driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Bennett, Morris Bennett, sister, Sandra Bennett, Mary Bennett.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea L. and Robert Grindle of Monroe, GA, grandson and wife, Paul and Shanon Grindle of Langley, SC, great grandson, Gage Grindle of Langley, SC, daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Darryl Gudgen of Portdale, GA, granddaughter, Linda Coon, great- grandchildren, Chris Sipes, Courtney Sipes, Jon Billagonez, great great-grandchild, Ayden Sipes, brothers, Bill, Marvin, Richard, Donald Bennett, sister, Martha Baughcum.
