Claude Emory Wilkes

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Claude Emory Wilkes, age 69 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest, Saturday, December 6, 2014. Mr. Wilkes was born in Jefferson, Georgia the son of the late Cecil and Pauline Venable Wilkes and was a retired maintenance man with McDonald's Corporation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkes is preceded by brother; Alton Wilkes and a sister; Brenda Bryant.

Survivors include two daughters; Kimberly and Carolyn Wilkes, brother and sister in law; Dean and Viola Wilkes of Jefferson, nieces; Sherry (Ross) Shepherd of Hull, Deanna (Chris) Poole of Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 11, 2014 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Chris Poole officiating, burial will follow in the Bethany Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12
