Lucille Saville White

Obituary Date: Friday, December 5, 2014
Beloved mother and grandmother, Lucille Saville White died on Friday, December 5, 2014. The daughter of Reuben Adolphus and Maude Leila Smith Saville, Mrs. White was born on November 27, 1929, in Hall County, GA.

Mrs. White and her husband, Charles Lafayette White, opened Economy Glass in the early 1950s and she continued working there until her illness forced her retirement in 2012.

Mrs. White was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, the Phebian Sunday School class, and the WMU Benfield Group, and she served on various committees throughout her membership.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna White Kearney, and her husband, Kevin, of Norfolk, VA; her son, Kent, and his wife, Selena, and their son, Jarred, of Alto, GA; her son, Mark, of Alto, GA; her sister, Clairette Holcomb, of Demorest, GA; her sister-in-law, Leora Saville Ivie' of Cornelia, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her devoted and loving care-giver and advocate, Pamela Martin Jamison, of Clarkesville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles White, and her son, Rodney Keith White.

In addition to Pamela Martin Jamison, the family wishes to thank Peggie Martin of Baldwin, GA, and the staffs of The Oaks at Scenic View Assisted Living, Habersham Home, and United Hospice for the care provided during Mrs. White's illness.

Mrs. White will be remembered as a hard-working, kind-hearted, and loving individual who did much for many.

Services will be at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel in Baldwin, at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2014, with Rev. Steve Doran, Kevin Kearney, and Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will be in Level Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cornelia, GA.

The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and Monday, December 8, from 12:30 PM until the funeral hour.
