Thomas Terrell Young

Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Terrell Young, age 80 of Hilltop Way, Toccoa passed away Friday December 5, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late John Parker Young and Lizzie Keller Young Goolsby, he was born on September 10, 1934 in Franklin County, Georgia but lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was retired from Coats and Clark with 41 years of service. He was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church but attended Sunnyside Baptist Church when he was able. He was preceded in death by two sisters Lucy Young and Martha Jane Young Crump.

He is survived by his wife Billie Cash Young of the home, two brothers and sister-in-laws A.T. and O'Neil Young of Taylors, SC and Wilburn and Margret Ann Young of Williamston, SC, a sister and brother-in-law Johnnie Sue and Burrell Fowler of Carnesville, GA, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law John T. "Buddy" and Mary Cash of Toccoa and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday December 8 at 2:00 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Bill Evans and the Reverend Jewell Gaines officiating. Interment will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. on Sunday December 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
