Mr. John William Bryant, age 95, formerly of Chamblee, GA, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his residence in Gillsville, GA.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with Reverend Marshall Dale officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
John was born in DePue, IL on March 11, 1919 the son of the late Walter L. Bryant and Minnie (Steele) Bryant. He was World War II Navy veteran. He worked for Crane Packing Company until his retirement. He was a member of Embry Hills UMC in Chamblee, GA for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 ½ years Katherine (Williams) Bryant; son, Ted Bryant and his granddaughter, Alicia Clack.
John is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Earl Wilkins of Winterville; Jill and Charles Rylee of Gillsville; grandchildren, Marcia and Nate Morris; Scott and Ashley Couch, Christina Bryant, Johnathan Clack, Travis and Merideth Rylee, Kristy Jones, Jeff Wilkins and Justin Wilkins; great-grandchildren, Lillie Clack, Stella Couch, John Jones, Sady Jones, Hayden Rylee and Landon Carter.
In lieu of flower the family has requested donations be made to Eagle Ranch P. O. Box 7200 Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502 or your favorite children's charity.
