Sydney Makayla Ridings

Sydney Makayla Ridings, age 14, of Cumming, was called to her eternal home Friday, November 28th, 2014. She was a 9th grader at West Forsyth High School and a JV Sideline Cheerleader. Sydney had a beautiful smile, gentle personality and understood the meaning of living life to the fullest. She loved competition dancing and school. During the past 3 1/2 years of her illness, she carried herself with dignity and beauty. She recently won a Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen preliminary earning the title "Miss. Apple Capital's Outstanding Teen.

Survivors include her parents, Dyron and Tammy Ridings; grandmother, Mary "Mamaw" Cowan; uncle, Rodney Cowan and Nelsy Steinke; aunts, Vickie Ridings, Charlene Terpstra; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1st at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Frazier, Rev. Terry Cowart and Chaplain Bonnie Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
